March 21, 2019 By Darryn Nufer. RECENT winners Tiger Love (Chris Munce) and The Sinner (Natalie McCall – pictured) sit fourth and fifth respectively in the Order of Entry for next month’s rich Capricornia Yearling Sale 2YO Classic (1200m) at Rockhampton.
As of 10am today, Fred Smith’s Tycoon Flyer sat atop the ballot order with Ben Currie’s Jelviss second and Tom Button’s Woohoo Girl in third spot.
This year’s renewal of the 2YO Classic to be run on Saturday, April 13, carries a total purse of $157,500 (QTIS & fillies bonuses included) and is shaping as one of the strongest fields (capacity 16) in recent times.
As an added carrot, connections of this year’s 2YO Classic winner, if a filly, will be entitled to a free service with the Oaklands Stud stallion Power (Oasis Dream (GB) – Frappe (IRE)) and the winning trainer will also receive a $5000 trainer bonus from the Rockhampton Jockey Club.
