TRAINER Natalie McCall secured a very rare double double across the weekend, a feat usually only reserved for the bigger stables.
This included two winners on the Gold Coast Saturday and at the Sunshine Coast on Sunday.
Race favourite Blue Odyssey made it a Hat Trick at the track and distance for Nat before the debut win of Pluck Jam, a four-year-old gelding that arrived at McCall’s stables unraced at the start of the year before winning Saturday’s Maiden Plate Aquis Park.
Three strong favourites were sent out by Nat across the card at the Sunshine Coast with both Own Sweet Way and the returning Valario saluting with Beat the Beast and close second.
“It has been a great start to the season and I look forward to keeping this momentum as long as we can” Nat said. “We have a strong stable at the moment and a lot of good prospects coming through”
